Lane’s Balance and the graded river (transport-limited): impacts of water supply and sediment supply on river channels

The Graded River sets its slope such that it transports the same amount of sediment that it is supplied with the amount of water that is supplied; it is a state of equilibrium towards which alluvial rivers trend.
